about
Hello!
I'm Melissa, a fiction editor specializing in supporting indie authors on their creative journey.

My journey started in 2021 when I fell back in love with reading after a several-year hiatus. In 2022, after months of reading daily, I began to develop some story ideas of my own. I spent hours researching how to write a fiction book and began my writing journey. I spent the next few months continuing to write, and learn everything I could about writing and self-publishing.
As much as I enjoyed writing, I eventually realized that I loved editing more. I loved being able to take the knowledge I had learned about writing and self-publishing, and be able to help other writers on their creative journey.

From the fall of 2022 to the winter of 2023, I received training in structural editing, developmental, line and stylistic editing, copyediting, proofreading, and grammar.

I value the unique voice and vision of each author, and my goal is to provide you with the expert guidance and editorial support you need to bring your story to its fullest potential. I've had my own journey with writing and self-publishing, and I understand what it's like to feel overwhelmed by it all.

If you're looking for someone to handle your manuscript with care and consideration, while giving you the feedback you need to elevate your story, I hope you'll consider me.
I look forward to embarking on this exciting creative adventure with you and helping your author dreams become a reality.
